International Students
All courses at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire require a high level of English. All teaching is in English, as are all performances and assessments.
International candidates should be able to demonstrate their proficiency in the use of English. This may be tested in auditions/interviews.
Evidence of the following qualifications should be provided with the application:
Foundation Acting
- IELTS Overall Score 6.0 (5.5 in all components) or equivalent is required
BA (Hons) Acting
- IELTS Overall Score 6.0 (5.5 in all components) or equivalent is required
BA (Hons) Applied Theatre
- IELTS Overall Score 6.0 (5.5 in all components) or equivalent is required
BA (Hons) Stage Management
- IELTS Overall Score 6.0 (5.5 in all components) or equivalent is required
MA / PgDip Acting
- IELTS Overall Score 7.0 (6.5 in all components) or equivalent is required
MFA Acting
- IELTS Overall Score 7.0 (6.5 in all components) or equivalent is required
MA / MFA Professional Voice Practice
- IELTS Overall Score 7.0 (6.5 in all components) or equivalent is required
