Dave is currently drumming for the West End show 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.' He has played for a variety of ensembles including:

  • English National Opera
  • City of Birmingham Orchestra
  • Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra
  • London Sinfonietta
  • Ensemble Bash
  • Isobel Griffiths Film Sessions
  • Victoria Wood Film Sessions.

Dave's West End credits include: The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, Thriller Live, Jersey Boys, A Chorus Line, The Bodyguard, The Commitments, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Legally Blonde, Viva Forever, Stephen Ward,  Kristin Chenoweth in Concert and The Follies Live at the Royal Albert Hall.

TV appearances include The Graham Norton Show, The Late Late Show and BBC Proms.  His awards include BBC Walter Todds Bursary Winner, Percussive Arts Society Hudson Music Drumset Award, Percussive Arts Society International Scholarship, BBC Young Musician - Percussion Category Finals (2006 and 2008), Trinity College "Adam Collins" Percussion Award and Martin Musicale/Philharmonia Orchestra Award. 

Dave has written several compositions which have been performed at Wigmore Hall, BBC Young Musician of the Year and Royal Academy of Music among others. He also has two TV production music albums on the Universal Chappell label. Dave is honoured to be a Visiting Tutor at Birmingham Conservatoire where he focuses his teaching on West End shows and Rhythm Section performance.
