Performance Opportunities

Choirs

Our Junior and Intermediate Choirs (Treble I & II, Alto) accept all those under 14 with unbroken voices and form an essential part of their training.

The Chamber Choir is a full four-part choir and is made up primarily of first and second study singers, although others are free to audition.

Orchestras

There are four orchestras working at different levels at the Junior Conservatoire. The String Orchestra accepts all strings players with a minimum standard of Grade III.

Entry to the Symphony Orchestra, Wind Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra is by audition. All the orchestras have the benefit of professional conductors as well as specialist sectional tutoring.

Woodwind students may also participate in our clarinet ensembles or flute choir.

Chamber Music

Chamber Music is an essential part of the development of a young musician and all students will be expected to take part in an ensemble during their time at the Junior Conservatoire.

Senior groups may have opportunities to perform outside the Conservatoire as well as in our own recitals.
