Enhancing your employability

Preparing our students for a successful career is central to our courses. You are encouraged to develop your own style and will graduate equipped with the skills for your chosen field.

You will use various techniques from freehand drawing to working with hi-tech industry equipment in order to have a comprehensive understanding and boost employability.

You may also get the chance to work on live projects – one of our first-year jewellery students has recently been chosen by Argos to produce an exclusive jewellery collection, which will be sold nationwide from January 2015.

For the past 11 years, the HND Jewellery & Silversmithing students have been involved in the Weston Beamor Design Award winning prize money and work experience opportunities. These live projects have been a way to find successful full time employment or freelance design work.

There are many exciting career options available to our graduates including working at auction houses, diamond grading, stone dealing, jewellery manufacturing, retail and marketing, curatorial work, teaching and roles within fashion or theatre to name just a few.
