Our Practice

CALS has a strong emphasis on practice and works with US attorneys and partner organisations with a particular focus on providing assistance in Death Penalty cases and Innocence Projects. In conjunction with the Centre for Human Rights, our members work on the preparation of amicus briefs and with organisations such as Amicus, Reprieve, the Arizona Innocence Project, the California Innocence Project, the Florida Innocence Project. CALS is home to the largest internship programme in the UK.
