University professor awarded Lifetime Achievement Award for wound work

An academic at Birmingham City University’s Faculty of Health, Education and Life Sciences has been honoured with a special European award in recognition of his career in wound healing.

Professor Michael Clark has worked in tissue viability and wound healing since 1980 and is Director of the Welsh Wound network.

Professor Clark was previously Editor in Chief of the ‘Journal of Tissue Viability’ and currently supports Birmingham City University’s Wound Healing Practice Development Unit.

He also serves as a board member of the International Compression Club – the leading academic and clinical organisation dedicated to understanding the effects of limb compression.

EPUAP provide relief for those suffering from, or at risk of, pressure ulcers, through research and education.
