Our Royal Birmingham Conservatoire graduates have gone on to star in or work behind the scenes of television shows, blockbuster movies and stage productions. Check out what some of our talented Alumni are up to this month.
Graduates work on Wicked movie
Some of our Music graduates are credited for their work on the hugely successful Wicked movie soundtrack. Amy Ewen, who graduated from our Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in 2020, is credited as an Orchestra Contractor on the film. Paul Kimber is credited as a double bass musician and Andy Wood is credited as a trombone musician.
Bridgerton star in Doctor Who Christmas special
Catch Acting graduate Nicola Coughlan in the Doctor Who Christmas special on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and Disney+ worldwide.
Graduate stars in Panto
Acting graduate Jonathan Houlston leads as Dick Whittington in Riverfront Arts’ pantomime, which began on 27 November and runs until 4 January.
Alumna stars in Brum production
Acting alumna Alexia McIntosh stars as the lead in The Jingleclaw at Birmingham Hippodrome’s Patrick Studio. The music of the show is also available on streaming platforms.

Acting alumna and Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley plays the evil Queen in Snow White at the Sheffield Lyceum theatre.
Alumna stars in Call the Midwife Christmas special
Acting alumna returns to her role as Trixie in Call the Midwife’s Christmas special, which is being split into two parts this year. The first part airs on Christmas Day with the second part following on Boxing Day.
