He is the CEO of Pension Fund Analysis Limited.
He was a visiting lecturer at the University of Birmingham Business School from 2008-2012, specialising in new media technology in business and communications.
John has been a teacher of English, drama and media in comprehensive schools in the Black Country.
He is the author of ‘The Secret Wealth Garden – rewiring Local Government Pension Funds back into regional economies’ (2014). In 2010 he co-authored ‘Blogs from the Blackstuff – The case for rewiring the economy’ with Professor David Bailey. He has written widely in the media on regional economic development.
John has recognised expertise in the field of pension funds and schemes, especially the largest in the U.K. – the Local Government Pension Fund. He has written widely in the media on the subject and is frequently quoted by national media on these matters – recently in Guardian and The Financial Times and on BBC Radio 4’s File on 4.
He has appeared regularly on UK national media including the BBC Radio 4 Today programme, BBC Radio 4 Analysis, BBC Radio 5Live, BBC News Channel, and Sky News.
