Anette Kormann studied flute, first with Ingeborg Axner-Franzen at Kapellsberg Musicskola in Sweden, and then at RBC with Colin Lilley. At RBC, she won the Concerto Prize and the Ludlow Philharmonic Prize, and was runner up in the BMI Woodwind Competition. Alongside flute, Anette studied recorder with Annika Lyne, and conducting with Ansgar Krook and Andrew Mogrelia. She went on to perform extensively with orchestras, chamber groups and as a soloist in Sweden and the UK.

Anette is an experienced performer and educator, leading workshops and teaching at all levels and abilities. After studying music psychology at Uppsala University in Sweden for two years, Anette returned to the UK and since 1998, has been working as a qualified music teacher. Since completing her Dalcroze certificate in 2007, she has been teaching for the RBC Juniors Young Strings Project. Anette also works at Solihull Music, where she teaches woodwind and curriculum, as well as conducting two orchestras.
