Diane Ludwig
Diane began her musical education with piano lessons aged seven, followed by violin and later viola. From an early stage, she began writing her own music, an entirely self-motivated interest which dominated her years in secondary education. She studied at the University of Birmingham, gaining a BMus (First Class) in Music, with majors in Piano Performance and Composition, and then an MMus in Composition, after which she began teaching Theory, Aural and A-Level Music classes at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Junior Department.
Alongside teaching musicianship and instrumental lessons in various places, Diane also trained as an Alexander Technique Teacher and subsequently completed an MMus in Violin Performance at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. She enjoys being able to draw on a broad range of skills from her multiple and varied trainings to meet the needs of her students as they present themselves moment to moment, and particularly relishes helping students to surmount their individual challenges by reframing the ways they approach them.
