Monica has had a long and varied career as an orchestral musician, playing in cities from New York to New Zealand and working with conductors such as Leonard Slatkin, Leonard Bernstein, Seiji Ozawa and Marius Constante.
She studied at Wilfrid Laurier University (Canada), Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, and Boston University, as well as attending the Tanglewood Institute (Boston Symphony), Blossom Festival (Cleveland Symphony), the Banff Centre, and the National Youth Orchestra of Canada.
In London she was a busy freelancer as well as writing regularly for Rhinegold Publishing. She now lives in Cheltenham and teaching is her main focus. Alongside her work at Junior Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Monica teaches at Cheltenham Ladies’ College and The King’s School in Gloucester.
