Hear from Performance Department Manager Christina Hancock, who joined RBC in July. Her role involves facilitating large ensemble music performances and working alongside colleagues in arts organisations around the city to maximise opportunities for students.
I am based… at RBC.
I joined BCU… because I love working with student musicians and the music scene in Birmingham, so I feel privileged to be a small part of it.
My role involves… facilitating all the large ensemble music performances at the Conservatoire, from orchestra to brass band and more. I also work alongside colleagues in arts organisations around the city to maximise opportunities for RBC students.
I bring to BCU… experience of working with professional orchestras, conservatoires and universities in Birmingham and London.
Prior to BCU, I… was Orchestra Manager at the Royal College of Music in London.
A random fact about myself is… that I’m happiest when drinking cups of tea and eating chocolate biscuits.
