Welcome from the Principal

Stephen Maddock welcome imageAt Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, we are passionate about offering world-class musical, acting and theatre training to the broadest possible range of students and I am delighted to tell you about the many opportunities we offer.

Based at the heart of the thriving city of Birmingham, our relationships with local performance and musical institutions mean that our students are able to work with experts and receive practical experience in some of this country’s best professional venues.

Our state-of-the-art facilities enable us to not only offer the highest standard of education and preparation for professional careers, but also to welcome the people of Birmingham into our home to enjoy our concerts and performances – many of which involve our own talented students.

We are also proud to be part of Birmingham City University, which allows our students to take advantage of exciting interdisciplinary opportunities, access additional support and be part of a dynamic and diverse community.

All of this, and more, combines to create a unique educational experience. Our lively Open Days give you a chance to see all this for yourself, but if you can’t meet us in person, please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.

We look forward to welcoming you to Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
