Birmingham Festival Choral Society Oratorio Prize

The winner of this competition will receive a cash prize of £200, an engraved crystal trophy, and the opportunity to be one of the vocal soloists at a Birmingham Festival Choral Society Concert at a mutually agreed future date for which they will receive the usual BFCS soloist fee [currently £400].
The runner-up will receive a cash prize of £100 and the second runner-up will receive a cash prize of £50.
Birmingham Festival Choral Society's first big concert was the 1846 premiere of Elijah in Birmingham Town Hall, with Mendelssohn himself conducting.
BFCS is a thriving 21st century choir, singing a wide variety of quality choral music.
