Harriet Burns - soprano performs at RBC as part of Ludlow Song Weekend

Harriet Burns soprano
George Robarts baritone
Thomas Eeckhout piano

A free, early evening concert featuring acclaimed interpreter of song, soprano Harriet Burns and prize-winning baritone and rising star George Robarts, performing with pianist Thomas Eeckhout.

Come along and meet the talented composers (aged 16-25), chosen to work with Harriet and George in this year’s Ludlow Song Young Composers Workshop, taking place earlier in the day at the Conservatoire. You’ll hear their brand new songs, hot off the press, alongside our singers’ favourite, better-known English Songs: bringing together the past, present and future of the art form.

A taste of what the Ludlow English Song Weekend - an annual festival in Shropshire every April -  has to offer.

“Polished, witty, expressive and sweet-toned”, The Times on soprano Harriet Burns.

LESW Young Composers’ programme is generously supported by the Gerald Finzi Trust and the Vaughan Williams Foundation.
