Minima Naturalia: Paul Dunmall + Percussion Ensemble

Minima Naturalia is an exciting new work by RBC jazz lecturer Ed Puddick (pictured) for percussion ensemble, and featuring saxophonist Paul Dunmall.

Minima Naturalia is a musical realisation of Aristotle's ancient theories on the building blocks of the natural world.

The Eastside Jazz Club will be filled with percussive sounds, accentuated by Dunmall as he leads the group's exploration of the four classical elements; Earth, Air, Fire and Water, and their four attributes; Cold, Dryness, Heat and Dampness.

This one-set performance will conclude as the group reach the fifth element; Aether - the material above the terrestrial sphere.

Running time approx. two hours and 30 minutes

6.30pm Natalie McLean Band (Boult's Bar)
7.15pm Trevor Lines Group (The Lab)
7.45pm main show (Eastside Jazz Club)
