It’s 1955, and Ruth Ellis is about to become the last woman to be hanged in Britain.
Working as a hostess in the West End’s gentlemen’s clubs, Ruth’s tragic end is a far cry from her dreams of a movie-star life. After being convicted of killing her unfaithful lover, David Blakely, follow along as Detective Inspector Gale uncovers her motives in Amanda Whittington’s true crime experience, asking the questions: just who is Ruth trying to protect, and why did their relationship end in death?
