The Young Composers' Project

The Young Composers' Project (YCP) is a community of young creative music-makers in the West Midlands. Based at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, composers Kirsty Devaney and Joe Cutler set up YCP to provide a supportive network where young people can meet and work closely with musicians and composers to have their music performed live.

This is the 10th Anniversary of YCP and we are delighted to have Jamie Elless as our commissioned composer. The Young Composers this year decided on the theme of "community" and have been given opportunities to work with musicians and mentors from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
