How to get here
Directions by Car
Postcode for Sat Nav (Millennium Point NCP car park): B4 7AP
Millennium Point is clearly signposted from all main routes into the city – simply follow the brown tourist signs. Please note: do not follow the signs to City University since these may lead you to the wrong campus - please follow the Sat Nav postcode B4 7AP or signs to Millennium Point. Currently, there are major road works around the Millennium Point vicinity and access routes may change on a regular basis. You may need to follow diversion routes where indicated.
Clean Air Zone
Please note: The City Centre Campus falls within the Clean Air Zone (from 1 June 2021), where non-compliant vehicles will be charged to enter the zone daily.
Parking
Unfortunately the conservatoire does not have its own car park. There is a multi-storey car park owned and managed by Birmingham City Council situated adjacent to Millennium Point. The car park entrance is on Howe Street off Jennens Road. This car park is convenient for all of our facilities.
If you are using a sat nav please use the postcode B4 7AP.
Car Parking at Millennium Point Multi Storey Car Park:
Please retain your entry ticket on entering the Car Park. Payment is via machines located inside the car park building at the end of your visit. This car park takes cash and card payments. There is a cash machine available inside Millennium Point on Level 0.
On exiting the car park you'll see our music building on your right when you take the exit towards Millennium Point. To reach our Acting Department enter the Millennium Point building and take the lift down to the ground floor.
Directions by Rail
Birmingham is served by two mainline stations – Birmingham New Street in the City Centre and Birmingham International for the airport and NEC. Snow Hill and Moor Street train stations are also in the city centre. New Street, Snow Hill and Moor Street are all less than a 15 minute walk from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
Bus Routes
The 14, 55, 66 and 94 all go from Priory Queensway (B&M Bargains) and stop on Jennens Road. There is a stop almost opposite Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with a pedestrian crossing nearby.
Walking directions from Birmingham New Street and Moor Street rail stations
Walking from Birmingham New Street Station, leave the station heading towards the Bullring and walk along St Martin's Queensway, which is slightly to your left on exit from the station, to come out on the other side of the Bullring shopping centre (next to the iconic Selfridges building). Then:
To reach our Music facilities:
Cross the road towards Moor Street rail station. Once in front of the station turn left and walk straight ahead along Moor Street Queensway and keep left until it becomes Jennens Road. From the Birmingham City University City Centre Campus you can also access our music building by walking through and exiting out the back of Millennium Point, which brings you to the south entrance of our music building.
