Amy-Louise graduated from Psychology and completed her Masters in Applied Research at Staffordshire University. In the earlier part of her career within Psychology, she worked with other institutions such as University of Leeds, Keele University and Staffordshire University on intervention-based research projects. Amy-Louise has also worked within other parts of higher education including facilitating a graduate business-mentoring scheme and also worked a year as a supervisor in marketing. After working in varied roles outside of Psychology, Amy-Louise was able to appreciate how much she craved to be back within the field.

Amy-Louise designed and supported the construction of our new Psychology laboratories meaning we now have 10 fit-for-purpose specialised laboratories at the heart of the department on the second floor. Shortly after the laboratories project concluded, the technicians duo expanded, with Amy-Louise being promoted to the Psychology Technical Manager of the now team-of-three technicians.

"Since joining BCU 7 years ago, I am able to do what I enjoy – helping others problem solve and I am studying again, for my PhD."
