ARRANGE is an innovative exhibition showcasing the creative prowess of technicians across all faculties, transcending traditional boundaries. 2024 is a significant year for Technicians at Birmingham City University (BCU) as the university becomes a signatory of the Technicians Commitment which is a university and research institution initiative, led by a steering board of sector bodies, which aims to ensure visibility, recognition, career development and sustainability for technicians working in higher education and research, across all disciplines. This is a first step in the university recognising and pledging action to tackle the key challenges affecting technical staff and further helping the sector as a whole.

This years exhibition, ARRANGE, has been opened up to all technicians beyond the area of Art, Design, and Media, highlighting the diverse technical skills from all that the BCU technical teams have to offer across faculties, celebrating the essential role of technicians who provide expert support in areas across a wide range of subjects, disciplines, laboratories and workshops. Their contributions go beyond technical support; they are integral in transforming ideas into tangible outcomes, blending technical mastery, creative insight with years of real-world experience, driving and supporting the academic and creative endeavours of Birmingham City University.
