Boulez: Sur Incises
RBC Ensemble led by Daniele Rosina perform Boulez’s irresistibly energetic Sur Incises for three pianos, three harps and three percussionists, of which New York Times critic Anthony Tommasini exalted: “The sheer riot of colour is engrossing. As the music unfolds, episodes of sustained, quasi-lyrical dreaminess alternate abruptly with outbursts of pulsating intensity.”
With an introduction by Caroline Potter, author of Pierre Boulez: Organised Delirium (Times Literary Supplement music book of the year 2024)
As part of Timbre and Colour in French Music – a Symposium and RBC French Season 2024–25
Running time approx. 55 minutes
