Yu Zhou holds a full scholarship for the Advanced Postgraduate Diploma programme at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, where he studies under John Thwaites and Pascal Nemirovski. His accolades include prizes from the Jaques Samuel Piano Festival, Suffolk Festival of Performing Arts, and Yamaha Piano Competition, along with competition successes at Trinity Laban, Royal Academy of Music, Chetham’s, and the Cleveland Institute of Music.
He has performed at venues such as Wigmore Hall, Meany Hall, St. James Piccadilly, and Snape Maltings, where he was featured on BBC Radio Suffolk. His recent research includes algorithmic approaches to piano fingering, blending his interests in music, mathematics, and computer science to support innovative music education. With a mission to make classical music accessible to a wider audience, Yu Zhou looks forward to continued study, teaching, and performing.
