Chat GPT is a chatbot that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to give complex answers your questions, analyse texts and perform lots of other tasks. We’ve got four ways you can experiment with AI to revise effectively and cut down on your revision time.
1. Summarise your notes
If you have tonnes of notes from class or you’re not sure what the key points of a text are, ask Chat GPT to summarise it for you.
By simply pasting in some text and asking the bot to summarise it, you’ll have a simple explanation that can help you to understand your notes and remember the key ideas.
If there are complex ideas in the text, you can take it back to basics and ask Chat GPT to explain it to you like you’re five years old!
2. Test yourself
If you’re bored of reading through the same notes over and over, mix it up by testing yourself. By simply inputting your notes or a chunk of text, Chat GPT can create multiple-choice questions to quiz you on the content.
3. Get creative
The more interesting or funny your notes are, the more memorable they will be. You can ask Chat GPT to create a song, rap, poem or even a stand-up routine about any topic or piece of text!
4. Take a break
If you need a bit of a break from revision, then Chat GPT can also help you out! If you want to chat to someone, play a game or hear some fun facts, the chatbot has you covered!
If you fancy getting away from your desk, Chat GPT can recommend films or a TV show to binge. Or, why not ask Chat GP to give you a recipe idea so you can make a healthy meal during your revision break?
It’s important to remember not to use Chat GPT for work that you are going to submit. For example, don’t use Chat GPT to write the answer to a question in your coursework, as this could get flagged for plagiarism and get you into trouble.
