Why Digbeth is the coolest place to be

Just a stone’s throw away from our City Centre Campus is an area called Digbeth. Nicknamed the creative quarter, there's tonnes to do as a student.

1. Red Brick Market

With more independent sellers than we can count under one roof, Red Brick is the place to go if you need the perfect gift for someone, yourself or you just fancy a browse of the unique stalls here. There are market stalls selling everything from jewellery to cookies to clothes.

2. Chance & Counters board game café

There's nothing better than spending a quiet afternoon playing board games with your friends while you sip a coffee or milkshake. Chance & Counters have a huge number of boardgames to play, no matter what your taste.

3. Baked in Brick

A must-go when in Digbeth for wood-fired pizza or BBQ meat made in a mini cooper.

4. The Clean Kilo

The UK's largest Zero Waste supermarket helping lower your impact on the environment.

5. Luna Springs

An enormous outdoor space that hosts music, street food and outdoor cinema events. This is definitely the place to be when the sun is shining.

6. Golf Fang

Crazy golf in crazy settings with crazy good cocktails and food. It's something you need to try for yourself.

7. BA-HA at The Rainbow

Birmingham's number one spot for vegan food is in a cosy pub in Digbeth. Get down there to try an unbeatable burger, creamy mac and 'cheese' or their famous 'chicken' wings.

8. The Floodgate

Feeling competitive? Floodgate is the perfect place for you and your mates to have an alternative night out. Try your hand at baseball, curling or have a play in the arcade.

So whether your thing is crazy golf in abandoned busses or eating food cooked in a classic British motor, Digbeth has something for you.
