An Offer Holder Day is more in-depth than an Open Day and gives you a more tailored experience. You'll find out more about your course and hear about the student experience through taster sessions and opportunities to meet academic staff and current students. You will also have an opportunity to view our accommodation and chat to our support services.
If you have already been to an Open Day, this is your chance to explore your course and subject area in more detail and if not, you'll get an in-depth introduction to studying here.
You are welcome to bring one guest with you to an Offer Holder Day – and we provide a special programme of activities for parents and guardians (outlined in the schedule below). We know that parents and guardians have lots of questions and concerns about what university life is like, so we have provided dedicated time for them to get the information they need.

An introduction to studying Business with Marketing at Birmingham City University.
The session will focus on the importance of AI and the changing business environment. It will include a Padlet activity, a Kahoot Quiz, and a small case study for the discussion.
Offer holders: Your second taster session
There will be one topic-related group activity followed by a critical discussion on the choices. The session will focus on group work and will end with a short Mentimeter quiz.

Offer holders: Creating an event experience
Considering the areas of perceived consumer experience (event, service, price and venue), design a Lego event which exceeds your customers expectations and ensures they have an exceptional experience.

Using Playdough, create an event emotional journey referring to the emotions from Disney's Inside out.
An introduction to studying Human Resource Management at Birmingham City University.
A seminar/workshop activity with follow up discussion on the non-traditional practices for selecting the most suitable employees in the most efficient ways. You'll utilise personality testing and other type of psychometrics to identify qualities of candidates that feed in the hiring decisions of an HR professional or generally any manager.
