Michael Pushkin
Language Tutor (Russian)
Michael Pushkin taught Russian Language and Literature at the University of Birmingham for 35 years, and has since taught at the Universities of Bath, Bristol, Manchester and Nottingham. He has been External Examiner in Russian at seven universities (most recently Cambridge).
His special areas of interest are Russian poetry, including articles on the modern poet Andrei Voznesensky, and modern Russian theatre, both innovative and documentary, on which he has lectured.
At Birmingham Conservatoire he teaches beginners' and continuers' classes in Russian pronunciation for singing.
