Conductors Xinyue Liu, Dexter Drown*
Come and hear RBC’s two final-year postgraduate conducting student ensembles in three 20th century pieces.
Xinyue Liu directs two works by French composers, the three short movements of Edgard Varèse's Octandre, and Darius Milhaud’s jazz-inspired La création du monde; this is then followed by another piece of ballet music, as Dexter Drown leads the ensemble in a suite of music from Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring.
