Completed Simulation Software Development

In April 16 phase two of a three phase redesign and rebuild of our VCC 2.6 simulation software was completed marking a significant milestone in online simulation development within the Faculty. Phase two provides a working version of VCC 3.0 which, although not complete, allows us to build new simulations and upgrade existing simulations that offer many affordances not found in previous software versions. After 2 months of testing and quality assurance, both virtual and physical, our first 3.0 sims were trialled with students on a first year pre-registration nursing course during April/May 2016. Initial feedback from the students was overwhelmingly positive!
