This collection is an archive of books relating to the early years of Television and Radio in Britain and America. These books, cover topics such as the BBC, Broadcast Theory and Practice, Television, Radio, Media Biographies, and Reports and Reviews. These date from 1925 to 1980. Within these topics are books on how to write scripts, using propre pronunciation on radio and the responsibilities of a broadcaster. There are also books on specific programmes such as the Archers, and the history of television and radio. The collection was donated to the Arts, Design and Media Archive by Charles Chadwyck Healey in 2021. Sir Charles has had a long career in publishing and photography most notably starting the Chadwyck Healey Publishing Group. The Chadwyck-Healey Collection includes two books written by Charles himself.
