BCU offers a range of specialised courses tailored to meet the needs of the creative industries. Whether you're interested in Digital Film Production, Digital Animation, or Photography, our courses are designed to provide a strong foundation in both theory and practice.

Our Digital Animation course is ranked among the top in the UK, focusing on both 2D and 3D animation techniques. It also offers a professional placement year, allowing students to gain industry experience before graduation.

State-of-the-art facilities

Our City Centre campus is the home of our Film, Animation and Photography degrees, and boasts state-of-the-art facilities. Here, you’ll have access to industry-standard equipment, including advanced editing suites and animation labs, not forgetting our professional television and film studios, with one of the largest green screens in the UK.

We also have a professional and fully equipped photography studio with dark room, alongside an extensive Hires and Loans department where you can book out camera equipment to assist you on your creative projects. 

You can even take a walk-through tour of our Film, Animation and Photography facilities.

Careers in the second city

Graduates from BCU have gone on to work with leading organisations in the creative industries, such as Disney, Warner Brothers, and the BBC. Our focus on employability ensures that students not only receive an excellent education but also have the support and opportunities to launch successful careers.

For example, Film Technology graduate Gabriel has gone on to work on major movies such as Barbie and Wonka, really putting his degree to use!
