Martyn Ratcliffe

Martyn graduated with a physics degree and started his career at British Aerospace. After several changes of department and the completion of an M.Sc. in Digital Systems he settled in the software department, designing real-time software for weapon systems.

After eight years Martyn left British Aerospace to take up a teaching post at Birmingham City University, where his focus has mainly been on Software Engineering.

During his time with the University he has completed a PhD and been on several secondments to industry, the most recent being an eight month secondment to Rational Software. Other items of interest include:

Development and support of BSc Computing final year franchise to Informatics plc. in Malaysia and Singapore
