Big Band Double Bill: The Guards Big Band with RBC Jazz Orchestra
We are delighted to welcome the Guards Big Band to Eastside Jazz Club to do a double header with RBC Jazz Orchestra. The Guards Big Band is made up of the finest jazz musicians from the British Army bands of the Household Division: the Grenadier, Coldstream, Scots, Irish and Welsh Guards, plus the Household Cavalry. It is regularly featured in the Household Division music festival and has a unique repertoire including specially commissioned works.
We have arranged this special gig at Eastside Jazz Club to allow the RBC Jazz students to have the honour of sharing a platform with this excellent band. The evening will include soloists from each band swapping in to be featured with the other band, giving the students the opportunity of playing with and playing for the Guards band.
