Paul Dunmall Invites: Pablo Held and the Buoyancy Band
Led by celebrated German pianist and composer Pablo Held, The Buoyancy Band brings together four of Europe’s top players: Percy Pursglove on trumpet and flugelhorn, Kit Downes on Hammond organ and Leif Berger on drums.
The music marks a new chapter in Pablo Held's career, blending his reputation for narrative story-telling with thoughtful compositions for this great new group. Their debut album, released in 2023, includes new music by Held such as Underwater Rendezvous and Homeskating, alongside arrangements of classics like Star Wars and Pippi Longstockings.
