In this folk-inspired recital, Ellen Smith ‘The Shetland Mezzo’ and Jonathan French explore works in our western music canon which have been influenced by the folklore and folk music of various cultures across the world, interspersed with pieces intended to complement the themes found in these works. From the barren hillsides of her remote island home to the soaring Austrian Alps, a varied programme is guaranteed.
