Salim has previously held the post of Head of Department – Public Health and now Head of the College of Life Sciences within the Faculty. His teaching interests include human physiology/bioscience and more recently health inequalities and disparities.

As Head of the College of Life Sciences, he provides visible strategic business and academic leadership for the College which supports and enables the Faculty and University to be a leading applied HE institute.

He is responsible for ensuring the College achieves the highest standards of excellence in all areas including teaching, learning, student experience, and research and innovation. To ensure continued success, he possesses a strong academic profile combined with leadership and management skills and experience. In addition:
