Sport and Life Sciences

Our sport and exercise courses are focused on delivering hands-on practical learning which will prepare you for a successful career on graduation.

Our academics have worked with organisations including the GB Women’s Basketball Team, Warwickshire County Cricket Club, West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa football clubs, Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club, and even medal winners at the Commonwealth Games – both in 2018, and the 2022 Games hosted in our own city of Birmingham.

We are committed to delivering high-quality, research informed teaching in Biomedical Science and Biomedical Engineering. Our courses are designed to give you extensive practical and laboratory experience in support of your learning, in a purpose-built environment. Our experienced staff are experts in a range of fields across biomedical specialisms.

Our Biomedical Science course allows you to play a leading role in the prevention, treatment and management of diseases and health conditions by applying principles in biology and medicine, preparing you to meet the challenging demands of the healthcare sector.
