Request form
The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 do not permit the disclosure of personal data, including names and contact details (e.g. email addresses which include personal data) so please ensure your request does not ask for personal data.
- Please see the FOI Publication Scheme available via The Freedom of Information Act 2000 to see whether the information you want is already published so that you can access it yourself. BCU will not provide you with a different version of the same information already published in the publication scheme.
- Where the University already publishes the information requested, you will be directed to the relevant public resource.
- Though there is no limit to the scope of the information you may request, please note that the University may have the right to refuse to disclose information that is covered by relevant exemptions allowed by the Freedom of Information Act 2000 or exceptions allowed by the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. If your request is refused, an explanation will be provided along with details of the relevant appeal process.
- In cases where the University holds only some of the information requested, we will respond as fully as we can.
- Please note, Birmingham City University has the right to ask for clarification of any request for information including where it does not prove possible to identify the information needed from the original description provided.
- Birmingham City University and Royal Birmingham Conservatoire are one legal entity, therefore you do not need to send two separate FOI for the same information as the response will be one and the same.
