Shauna

Birmingham City Business School student Shauna spent a placement year in industry at Warwickshire County Cricket Club's Edgbaston Stadium. It was part of the third year of her Marketing, Advertising and PR degree course.

Greg

Sports Therapy student, Greg, spent the summer after his second year on placement with our partner, Warwickshire County Cricket Club. Working with professional cricket players and staff Greg shows us around the facilities where he worked and talks us through the type of activities he would be involved with on a day-to-day basis, as well as how this has supported his learning and practice.

Health Sciences

The School of Health Sciences was established in 2014 to accommodate our growing biomedical science and sports courses portfolio alongside our health and social care courses.

We invested £41 million to extend our building to accommodate new facilities  which give us world-class research and teaching spaces.

Get practical preparation for a career in sports journalism with our BA (Hons) Sports Journalism degree course. You’ll get the chance to develop the skills to cover a range of sports stories for print, digital, TV and radio, including covering live matches and competitions, interviewing key figures and running collaborative live-blogs.

Edgbaston Stadium

Edgbaston Stadium is one of the leading venues in world cricket and has been the home of Warwickshire County Cricket Club since 1885. For more than 100 years, first-class and international cricket has been played in Birmingham.

During that time the stadium has hosted all the great players of the game and delivered some of the most iconic moments in the history of the sport.
