SCHOOL ACTIVITIES AND VISITS
The Widening Participation (WP) team advise and support learners from less advantaged backgrounds to access BCU and participation in higher education generally. Our aim is to help remove any barriers that still surround entry to higher education, in turn supporting progression to university.
We deliver talks, workshops and activities on a range of Higher Education (HE) topics, which can be adapted for Years 5-10.
Primary and Secondary HE workshops we deliver include:
- Introduction to HE
- Life as a university student
- Study skills and revision techniques
- Student finance and budgeting
- Subject specific workshops
