Biography
I graduated in Architecture in Brazil, and received my PhD from the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL, London). I have worked in architectural as well as interior design practices in Brazil and the UK. I have also taught both disciplines in many places, including the Architectural Association (London), where I worked for 11 years.
Expertise
I have experience in the areas of design and theory, in the fields of Architecture and Interior Design. In 2021, I published the book titled , the first monograph to be written on this iconic designer. I have taught in many schools across the UK.
Industry connections
I have connections with Sofalca in Portugal, a cork manufacturer. They were partners in one of the teaching modules of the MAIAD. I also have strong links with The Boundary in London, who specialise in 3D visualisation. We are starting a collaboration to offer internship opportunities to our students.
Former students
My students have found jobs in prestigious practices, including Foster + Partners, Caruso St John Architects, Lina Ghotmeh, to mention but a few. Some have proceeded to do research (Masters, PhD etc). Some have worked in areas more loosely related to spatial design, including exhibition design, curatorial works, set design for theatre, film and TV etc.
