Lucas’ focus is to promote high quality, integrated, design led processes for the creation of characterful and sensitive built environment solutions; from large scale strategic approaches involving planning, politics and society, down to the aesthetics and practicalities of detail design and construction. Holding qualifications in Urban Design and Landscape Architecture, he has broad range of interest and experience within several professional sectors linking across the built-environment industry.

He encourages students to develop a full range skill set: professional, academic, technical, artistic. Promoted within the open-minded, creative atmosphere of the design studio approach, whether inside or outside; looking at social interaction, technological mechanism or environmental system.
