Nick is a senior lecturer and has experience of writing and managing courses, whilst teaching across a range of modules and courses within the Faculty of Arts, Design and Media, at Birmingham City University.

He has experience of leading on the postgraduate Master of Arts, Design Management course in the UK and overseas. He has also written and curated a flexible blended learning course with a transnational education partnership in Hong Kong.

Nick is a people person, playing a key role in leading design sprints, whilst celebrating the role of design within a range of collaborative projects, creating employability and exhibition events, a STEAM conference and symposiums, including SPARK with the British Council in Hong Kong.

He has experience of leading the former undergraduate BA (Hons) Design Management Level 6 Top-up and Level 6 Design for Future Living courses in the UK.

Nick enjoys nurturing talent for the future and has developed engaging modules including Professional Development, Design Entrepreneurship, and Global Perspectives, where he has developed international relationships and collaborative opportunities with practice.

He is also responsible for communicating initiatives as Faculty College Academic Lead for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

He holds a postgraduate Master of Arts, Design Management, a PgCertHE, a bachelor’s degree in design and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Nick has experience in practice, having explored brand, graphic design and account management roles within public and private organisations.
