As Associate Professor for International, Robert has taught and continues to teach Conceptual Thinking, Design Philosophies and Innovation & Design as Visual Communication at overseas Institute partners, and guest lectures internationally at leading universities in a number of countries, including China, Thailand, India and Vietnam.
At postgraduate level Robert teaches within the areas of Conceptual Thinking, Design Philosophies and Innovation & Design as Visual Communication.
Robert occasionally teaches on undergraduate programmes within the area of photography, and also delivers lecturers to undergraduate students including ‘Appropriation & Connectivity’, ‘The Use of Narratives in Western Fashion & Advertising’ and ‘The Power of Flesh’.
Roberts main areas of research interest include the visual and cultural representations of Myths, Religion, Sex and Death.
These have driven his exhibitions and curatorial practice.
Robert overseas, teaches and runs the current Visual Communication postgraduate programme, which he has written and continues to develop using his pedagogical understandings and creative thinking strategies, in order to fully engage students using dialogue, discussion and debate.
