Michela Ferraro

With over three decades of passion and international experience, Michela is a jewellery expert and educator specialising in luxury, innovation, sustainability, and precious additive manufacturing (metal AM). These elements are crucial for ethical and sustainable practices in the jewellery and luxury sectors.

Michela currently teaches as Senior Lecturer in MA Luxury Brand Management at Birmingham City University. Michela was previously the Product Development Manager for Fashion Jewellery at Burberry, and the Manager of Product’s Research, Style, and Development at Chimento Gioiellieri Spa, Italy, where she followed development of entry price up to high-end jewellery collection developments.

With extensive experience in the jewellery and luxury sectors, Michela also continues to work as a Jewellery and Luxury Consultant in the UK and Italy.

Michela's award-winning jewellery designs, recognised by the Goldsmiths' Craft and Design Council, leverage direct precious metal 3D printing to create unique pieces that blend technology with brand identity. Michela contributes to industry magazines and delivers sustainability training, sharing insights on the latest trends.

Michela's career is dedicated to advancing the jewellery and luxury industries through sustainable practices, innovative design, and comprehensive education.
