Jess had always wanted to have a career working with children, so was very interested to go to university to work towards her career goals. However, she’d never really thought about joining BCU until, on a whim, she visited an Open Day with a friend. Having spoken to the course leader of the Education Studies course, BCU instantly became her first choice university.
During her time on the course she’s received lots of support from her tutors, enjoying their passion for what they teach and being inspired by their enthusiasm to take on their feedback and work harder.
She’s also had many amazing experiences too, which have built up her confidence even more. She’s taken on every opportunity to broaden her horizons such as volunteering in Peru, becoming a student ambassador and taking on a placement at Lincoln Castle. As a result she’s become much more independent, confident in her own abilities and pushed herself out of her comfort zone.
