Hi I'm Fazeela, and I'm currently studying Psychology. Below, I've written a little something about three of my favourite places to go in the city!
The Library of Birmingham
The Library of Birmingham opened its doors in April 2013. The exterior design of the library I had seen before and it was a great improvement from the old Library. It’s the perfect place to access extra help for assignments, research, to study and improve your skills.
The Library of Birmingham offers a wide variety of courses from Brasshouse Languages to seeking help and advice on how to set up your own business. The panoramic viewing gallery at the summit allows you to be at the highest point of the city and enjoy the stunning views Birmingham has to offer.
Birmingham Bullring
The Bullring is the heart of Birmingham’s shopping experience, with more than 160 shops to explore, as well as places to eat.
The Bullring houses some popular department stores like Selfridges, Zara and Debenhams, so it attracts customers all over the world. I feel as though the Bull is the iconic identity of Birmingham.
The Bullring is a short walk from the University campus and is easily accessible. My favourite places to eat at the Bullring are Nandos, Handmade Burger Co and Pizza Hut.
If you’re looking for dessert or have a sweet tooth like me, MyCookieDough and Mee-cha will fulfil that desire!
PureGym
When I want to relax and de-stress, exercise is my go-to, whether it be going to the gym or going for a walk. PureGym have various locations in Birmingham - two situated within the city centre of Birmingham - so they are easily accessible.
The flexibility of PureGym being opened 24 hours a day, 7 days a week allows me to work out whenever I can, meaning I can prioritise my University studying and then workout in the early morning or late evening.
PureGym offers student discounts for memberships and - once you become a member - further fantastic offers and discounts.
I mean, what’s not to love!
