Accreditation and Facilities
BCU’s BSc Psychology Course is accredited by the British Psychological Society, providing a crucial step towards becoming a chartered psychologist.
Coupled with this our Psychology facilities have been modernised to ensure that our students are given the best possible chance to succeed on the course. We have invested over £150,000 in modernising our Psychology facilities to equip students with cutting-edge skills and experience. The department offers a BPS computer lab with specialised software, including SPSS, Nvivo, MATLAB, and e-Prime, enabling students to conduct advanced data analysis, qualitative research, and experimental simulations.
Placement opportunities
Students can choose to undertake a yearlong professional placement as a part of their course with different organisations like West Midlands Police, local schools and youth mentoring services around the city of Birmingham. This provides students with real life professional experiences which will equip them with all the necessary skills to excel in a professional setting. BCU ensures that students are prepared for various career paths, whether clinical, forensic or organisational psychology. For more information about placements check out Chyna's placement story.
