Samantha Gargaro

Samantha has worked as a Solicitor in private practice since qualifying in 1991, specialising in Personal Injury cases. Her main area of work was in Employers' Liability. The majority of her career was spent with national Personal Injury firm Russell Jones and Walker which became Slater and Gordon in 2012.

In 2018, Samantha came to BCU to set up an on campus Legal Clinic. From its launch in 2019, the BCU Law Clinic has grown significantly, both in terms of the work done and the number of students involved, and has been shortlisted for the 2024 Birmingham Law Society Pro Bono award.

Samantha has been a Trustee with national legal help charity Support Through Court since 2019 and is also involved locally with the Access To Justice Foundation, regularly being a lead organiser for the annual fundraising Birmingham Legal Walk.

In March 2024, Samantha was appointed as Senior Member (Chair) of Valuation Tribunal for England and as a Deputy District Judge (Civil) Midland Circuit.
