Dennis is an Entrepreneurship Facilitator, Business Incubation Consultant and Master of Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (MIKE). He has hands-on experience in setting up business incubation centres and offering structural support for start-ups and entrepreneurship programmes in the UK and Africa.

He has worked in various capacities with a number of UK universities including here at Birmingham City University (UK) as a Researcher, Lecturer and Start-up Mentor; Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge (UK) – as the Partnerships and Enterprise Development Officer for an EU funded Project to support start-ups, and setting up of REACTOR - the university’s incubation centre that focused on gaming and gamification; and at Kingston University, London (UK) – where he was an Hourly Paid Lecturer and the Business Incubation Manager of ‘Kingston Nest’, the Enterprise Hub of Kingston University, London, which he also founded with support from Kingston Business School.

Before joining academia, Dennis worked briefly with the Auditor General’s Office in Uganda before moving to London where he accumulated over 7 years of extensive experience in the Administration and Management of Pension Scheme Projects with FTSE 100 companies.

Passionate about entrepreneurism in general, and a firm believer in its power to bring about a fair & equitable society, he has worked with colleagues to deliver entrepreneurship projects for the Government of Uganda, the UN and various other entities.

Dennis was the Co-Chair of One Africa Network (UK) and a Co-Founder & Board Member at the African Business Chamber (AfBC) in the UK, both of which support professionals and African Owned Businesses.

A Ugandan-British, he is the Founder & Executive Director of NASE Africa - a social enterprise set up in 2015 to inspire & champion youth entrepreneurship. To date, mainly through the annual Leap Conference & the Youth IDEAthon, NASE has inspired over 15,000 youth and supported participants to receive over $500,000 worth of grants.

He holds a BSc. Hons. Business Management (1st Class) from Kingston University, London (UK); an MBA (Distinction) from University of Surrey (UK); a Post Graduate Certificate in Research Practice (Birmingham City University); Post Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education Institutions (SEDA); Certificate in Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies (Harvard Business School); and is currently completing his PhD (Entrepreneurship) at Birmingham City University (UK).
